Physiotherapy
Targeted diagnosis and treatment for joint pain and soft-tissue injuries, designed to restore movement and delay or prevent surgery.

Conditions we treat
- Knee osteoarthritis (pain, stiffness, and reduced range of motion)
- Frozen shoulder (severe restriction of overhead and rotational movement)
- Hip pain from bursitis, impingement, or early arthritis
- Plantar fasciitis (persistent heel and arch pain)
- Sports injuries and tendon problems in active patients
How it works
-
Joint and movement assessment: strength, range of motion, load tolerance, and imaging correlation.
-
Diagnosis to identify the exact structure causing pain: joint, bursa, tendon, or cartilage.
-
Treatment plan combining injection therapy and structured physiotherapy, paced to your recovery timeline.
What to expect
Before your appointment
Wear clothing that allows easy access to the affected joint. Bring any relevant imaging (X-ray or MRI) if you have it.
During
The consultant examines the joint in movement, not just at rest. You will understand exactly what is damaged and why, before we discuss treatment.
After treatment
Injection therapy often brings rapid relief within 1 to 2 weeks. Rehabilitation typically runs 8 to 12 weeks and is the key to lasting improvement.
Common questions
Will I need surgery?
For most joint conditions, including moderate-to-severe knee osteoarthritis, injection therapy combined with physiotherapy delays or avoids surgery. We are honest when surgery is the better option.
Can I still exercise?
In most cases, yes, and we actively encourage movement. The programme is tailored to your joint's current tolerance. Complete rest usually makes joint pain worse, not better.
What about cortisone injections?
We use corticosteroid injections selectively. They reduce inflammation quickly but are not appropriate for repeated use in every joint. We discuss which injection type suits your case.
