Conditions we treat

  • Chronic muscle tension and tightness from desk work, driving, or poor posture
  • Post-exercise soreness and muscle fatigue in athletes and active patients
  • Lymphatic drainage needs after surgery, injury, or chronic swelling
  • Stress-related physical tension concentrated in the neck, shoulders, and upper back
  • Trigger point pain with referred sensations caused by localised muscle knots

How it works

  1. Brief intake assessment covering your current complaints, areas of tension, any medical conditions, and whether you need coordination with the pain or physiotherapy team.

  2. Targeted massage session using the technique most suited to your needs: sports, lymphatic, trigger point, or full body relaxation.

  3. Aftercare guidance on hydration, stretching, and the right frequency for your goals, whether recovery, maintenance, or symptom management.

What to expect

Before your appointment

Avoid eating heavily in the hour before your session. Wear or bring comfortable clothing. Tell us about any injuries, areas to avoid, or pressure preferences before we start.

During

Sessions run 30 to 60 minutes. You direct the pressure level and focus areas throughout. Communication during the session is encouraged.

After treatment

Some muscle soreness is normal in the 24 hours after deep tissue or trigger point work. Hydrate well. Most patients feel significant relief by the following day.

Common questions

Is massage safe if I have chronic pain?

It depends on the cause of the pain. We coordinate with the pain team if needed to confirm massage is appropriate for your specific condition before the first session.

What is the difference between the types of massage?

Lymphatic massage is gentle and targets fluid drainage. Sports massage is firm and focused on muscle recovery. Trigger point targets specific knots causing referred pain. We recommend the right type at intake.

How often should I come?

For chronic tension, weekly for the first month then fortnightly for maintenance. For post-exercise recovery, as needed. We set a recommended schedule at the end of your first session.
