Conditions we treat

  • Obesity and its complications including joint load, metabolic syndrome, and fatigue
  • Type 2 diabetes and pre-diabetes requiring lifestyle and medical management
  • Hypertension and elevated cholesterol amenable to lifestyle intervention
  • Sedentary lifestyle contributing to back pain, deconditioning, and low energy
  • Chronic fatigue and poor physical capacity limiting daily function

How it works

  1. Baseline health assessment including body composition, metabolic markers, cardiovascular risk factors, and a detailed lifestyle history.

  2. A personalised plan covering physical activity prescription, nutritional guidance, and specific targets for weight, blood pressure, or blood sugar as relevant.

  3. Monthly follow-up to measure progress, adjust medication where needed, and refine the lifestyle plan based on what is and is not working.

What to expect

Before your appointment

Bring any recent blood test results if you have them. No fasting needed unless specified. There is no judgement here, only a practical review of where you are and where you want to be.

During

A thorough conversation about your habits, work, sleep, and what has and has not worked before. This is not a lecture. It is a practical discussion about what is realistic for your life.

After treatment

A written plan with specific, measurable targets. We follow up monthly and adjust the plan based on your progress, not a fixed protocol.

Common questions

Is this the same as seeing a dietitian?

No. The wellness clinic is medically led and can prescribe medication, order investigations, and manage chronic disease directly alongside lifestyle changes. A dietitian focuses on nutrition only.

Do I need to already be unwell to come?

No. This service is for prevention and early management. If you have risk factors for chronic disease, or your lifestyle is contributing to pain or fatigue, you do not need a diagnosis to benefit.

Will I lose weight?

Weight loss is one outcome among several. Improved energy, reduced pain, better blood sugar control, and lower cardiovascular risk often come alongside or before visible weight change. We track all of them.
